latest selmmuir update 11/4/10

The fishing was steady saturday from the off,sharp gentle angling club caught most of there fish at the far end mostly on damsel and buzzers,the morning fishing was the best before the sun got up,then about 4pm the fish started rising all other the water with dawl bachs fished just under he surface getting takes nearly every cast,in to sunday there was fish moving near cabin end and that is where most fish where caught today there was rods bending all over the place,gordon graig caught 3 fish in 3 cast fishing with buzzers under a bung,at one time i could see about 10 anglers fishing with buzz

selmmuir update wednesday 7/4/2010

well what a cracking days fishing today,with young calum catching fish after fish on buzzers he caught 10 fish in total then he started fishing with young josh rod he told me he was helping josh but i just banned him anyway, only joking calum,you fished well today calum well done,mr lawson was the first to weigh in with 5 fish limit,young josh also caught a nice rainbow today about 2lb he is getting better every time he comes fishing,again there was 4 young lads fishing today at selmmuir and i just love seeing them fishing and enjoying our sport,the best tactic are buzzers in black or green on

selmmuir update monday 5/4/2010

some great hatches at selmmuir these last couple of days of small black midge and the fish are going crazy for them,best tactic have been small wet flies sub surface,gold head hairs ears,or black or dark green buzzers,david bullion again bagged up with the okey dokey under a bung in no time,kevan lamb caught 6 fish on his first visit to selmmuir this year,the fish are starting to switch to small stuff big time,the weather today was wet and windy at selmmuir but all the brave anglersmostly caught fish,mr matherson and his brother and son all caught there limit with the young lad catching a nice

selmmuir update saturday 3/4/2010

the fishing just seems to be getting better everyday,selmmuir fly fishing club had there first outing today and most where bagged up by 11am with some anglers buying another ticket and bagging up again,the best tactics by a mile today where buzzers fished very slow with fish moving all over the water,the cabin end was the best area today but again the fish are well spread all over the loch,i maybe even have a wee cast myself tomorrow with a dry fly as there has been some good haches of black midge.
